The article substantiates the role, place and importance of interactive case technology in the formation of scientific literacy in students on the example of VIII grade physics training. In addition, the general goals and objectives of case technology in the training process were mentioned, and a methodology for organizing its application was developed. The methodology of a practical lesson on the implementation of qualitative experimental situational tasks based on case technology at different stages of teaching the topics “Thermal motion of molecules. Temperature”, “Thermal expansion of objects” and “Electrification of objects. Electric load” was  presented. Finally, the course and results of the pedagogical experiment on testing and evaluating the learning outcomes of experimental and control class students based on the four criteria of scientific literacy to be formed on students ("personality", "regulation", "cognition" and "communicative" criteria) were examined.
