MUHAMMAD FUZULI’S LOVE PHILOSOPHY AND ITS MYSTICAL ESSENCE

YAGUB BABAYEV

The article discusses M. Fuzuli’s love philosophy and its main essence. It is shown that an important part of the poet’s artistic heritage, which is extensive in volume, is the love-themed works. His love philosophy, however, has its characteristics. The works written on this topic can be mainly grouped into examples of divine love, that is, true love. The poet’s love philosophy finds its artistic expression mostly in his ghazals and the poem “Leyli and Majnun”. Most of the examples of love-themed poetry in the artist’s work derive from the “unity of existence” philosophy of the Sufism sect. In other words, it rests on divine love. According to Fuzuli, true love is love for the divine being. A human should love the beings in the material world, including their fellow humans, as a particle of the divine realm, that is, the realm of unity.
