MALAHAT ASGAROVA, RZA MAMMADOV

Education is one of the most important keys to the progress and survival of societies. Of course, it is the quality of education that ensures this. Quality education is made possible by the efforts of competent teachers who manage the teaching process with excellent programs. Based on this logic, in the Republic of Azerbaijan, as in many countries, relevant reforms are being taken for the quality of education and international experiences are being studied. In this article, the state of teacher training in international experience, the requirements placed on it, and the realities in the Republic of Azerbaijan are also discussed. In the article, teacher training programms of various countries were analysed using qualitative methods and compared with the situation in the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the current situation was analysed. Analysis and observations show that in developed countries, to increase interest in the teaching profession, special attention is paid primarily to increasing the influence of this profession. For this reason, when compared to other specialties, a wide range of exams (in-school exams, candidate exams, written or oral exams conducted by universities) are organized for entry into the teaching profession. The predominance of practical training over theoretical education in teacher training helps to enhance the professional knowledge and skills of educators.
