TEACHING PHILOSOPHY IN THE MODERN ERA

This article discusses the main challenges encountered in teaching philosophy and explores solutions through the application of modern teaching approaches. Philosophy education is important in developing students’ critical thinking, understanding of ethical values, and analytical analysis skills. However, in many countries, including Azerbaijan, challenges are faced regarding student motivation and active participation in philosophy classes. The article analyzes the impact of modern approaches, such as interactive teaching methods, the use of digital resources, the integration of real-world examples, and collaborative learning, on the teaching of philosophy. It also highlights how tracking students’ progress and providing feedback enhances teaching effectiveness. The article provides specific recommendations for teachers and education policymakers, discussing ways to make philosophy lessons more engaging and improve their practical opportunities. As a future research direction, it is considered that studying the interests of teachers and students in philosophy lessons could make the teaching process more student-centered and motivating.
