REQUIREMENTS FOR STRUCTURING AND ASSESSING THE COMPETENCIES OF STUDENTS
The article is devoted to the essence, formation, structuring and evaluation of professional competencies of university students. At present, employers require higher education institutions to train specialists with new competencies. In this sense, personnel training is a topical area, and fundamental changes are being made in the content, organization, management of higher education, the application of innovations, the development of content and assessment standards. As the application of innovations and methodologies in the training of highly qualified personnel provides employment for graduates, higher education institutions are also trying to increase the effectiveness of scientific results. Based on the demands of a market economy, the requirements for the training of knowledgeable, skilled and competent specialists are investigated. The study proposes a new model by comparing the competencies formed in students to meet the requirements of a constantly changing world and the competencies included in the employee’s job functions. It is emphasized that one of the main indicators of modern higher education institutions is to achieve dynamic development of the quality of human capital. However, the competencies instilled in students in some higher education institutions do not meet modern requirements. One of the main reasons for this is the lack of modern competencies during training. The formation of professional competencies in future professionals is one of the main tasks that higher education institutions are facing today. The article examines the scientific-pedagogical and practical issues in this field and summarizes them.
