CONTEMPORARY INDICATORS OF THE EFFICIENCY OF SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY AND SCIENTIFIC-BASED APPROACH TO MEASURING THE CONSEQUENCES OF PEDAGOGICAL ACTIVITY




The article analyzes the latest contemporary methods and mechanisms to calculate the efficiency of scientific activity indicators. As well, the methods for the determination of the effectiveness of pedagogical activity on scientific grounds are reviewed. Furthermore, it contains the comparative statistical data that exists between the relevant scientometrics indicators of Azerbaijan and the indicators of several countries. At the same time, the current study provides information covering international indexing systems, databases, and related essential concepts. Investigations are conducted on the importance of active usage of academic social networks and the efficiency of work that inclines to integrate Azerbaijani science into the global sphere. Various conclusions regarding the impact of quantitative and qualitative criteria of statistical indicators on the development of science in general, as well as pedagogical activity, are revealed.
