METHODS FOR DEVELOPING CREATIVE THINKING OF STUDENTS IN LITERATURE CLASSES
The development of students’ creative thinking is one of the main activities of the teacher-philologist. It is necessary to develop students’ creative abilities and thinking using the most appropriate and convenient teaching aids in literature classes. For this purpose, the most common and expedient methods are the compilation of short stories related to the lesson, the writing of essays, debates, competitions on various topics. The analysis of a fiction should also become a creative process, using heuristic practical tasks that allow
students to develop their thinking. One of the main conditions for the development of students’ creative abilities in literature classes is to
create appropriate conditions for this and ensure their creative freedom. Each literature lesson should foster the development of students’ thinking, they should learn to apply independently what they have learned with the teacher’s psychological and pedagogical support.
