DOCUMENTS FOUND IN THE PRESIDENTIAL ARChIVES RELATING TO OTTOMAN PERIOD CARPET SCHOOLS
Archive records of states are important because they are documents that record the history of that nation. It is known that Turks have given importance to state archives since the Uyghurs. In the Ottoman Empire, which lived for about 600 years, the archive was given importance. The Presidency Ottoman Archives, established in Istanbul Kağıthane, preserves a large number of documents. Weavings such as carpets and kilims that came with the Turks from Turkistan to Anatolia are the products of material culture. It is known that in the Ottoman period it was taught in schools for the further development of carpet weaving. Some of the documents related to the subject in the Presidency Archives were selected as the subject of the study.
