ANALYSIS OF ICILS INTERNATIONAL EVALUATION RESULTS AND ITS ROLE IN EDUCATION MANAGEMENT




In our age, computer technologies are widely used in every field. In such a situation, the spread of ICT  equipment in educational institutions, the knowledge, access, and use of this issue has become an urgent  issue. The International Computer and Information Literacy Study (ICILS) is conducted for this purpose. ICILS enables participating countries to assess students’ 21stcentury computer and information skills and the home and school environment necessary to acquire these skills. The study aims to analyze the ICILS evaluation results for different countries and to determine the ways of using these results in educational administration. To examine the subject, 2 volumes of information on the subject were obtained by scanning the literature. Based on the data, what ICILS is, how it is applied, the analysis of the 2018 ICILS results, and how these results will be used in educational management were discussed. In addition, suggestions on how these results can be  used in educational management are presented.
